Happy New Year!!

Hello! Hope you're doing well.

From here at Gammes we wish you a Happy New Year!! We hope you achieve all your goals in 2026. Last year was a good year for us: we released our first commercial game on Steam 👀. We also published our first game made with Godot, even though it's a simple one, we learned a lot while developing it!

So, here are our goals for 2026:

  • Grow our community: We continue our efforts to get more people to know about us. We've tried by running Google Ads campaigns and while we got thousands of downloads but just a little bit of engagement (reviews, new Discord members, etc.). In 2026, we're going to try our best to increase our demographic organically.
  • Game Engine switch: We've used Unity for all of our games so far, except for PONG Returns!, which was made with the Godot Engine. I know I confirmed Night Ninja to be our next project, but I'm not 100% sure which engine and art style to use. We might end using Unity, but we would like to experiment more with Godot. While making PONG Returns! I learned a lot and basically built our first multiplayer game.
  • Mobile vs. PC: Back in 2016, we developed and released the first version of Massi vs. José, published on itch.io, but it isn't available for download anymore. After some failed prototypes, like the first version of Night Ninja, the Zelda-inspired game and our first 3D project, we switched our focus to mobile. That's when we released BallDog! on the Play Store, and the rest is history. We're still brainstorming ideas for our next projects and we can't decide the platform of choice. Should we make more mobile games or build a profile on the Steam community? There's also the option of releasing games on itch, or at least the prototypes and demos 🤔.
  • More games: We spent 1.5 years working on Massi vs. José and we're proud of the results. However, we would like to iterate faster, since we have a lot of ideas that we want to bring to life! Back in 2016, after the initial release of Massi vs. José, I started working on Night Ninja, but never finished. It's kind of poetic that our next commercial project is going to be Night Ninja at the end.
We are so grateful for your support and we LOVE seeing people enjoying our games, in any platform of their choice! Looking forward for a new year with lots of blessings, achieved goals and new games to play 🤓.
