Happy New Year!!

Hello! Hope you're doing well. From here at Gammes we wish you a Happy New Year!!  We hope you achieve all your goals in 2026. Last year was a good year for us: we released our first commercial game on Steam 👀. We also published our first game made with Godot , even though it's a simple one, we learned a lot while developing it! So, here are our goals for 2026: Grow our community:  We continue our efforts to get more people to know about us. We've tried by running Google Ads campaigns and while we got thousands of downloads but just a little bit of engagement (reviews, new Discord members, etc.). In 2026, we're going to try our best to increase our demographic organically . Game Engine switch:  We've used Unity for all of our games so far, except for PONG Returns! , which was made with the Godot Engine. I know I confirmed Night Ninja to be our next project, but I'm not 100% sure which engine and art style to use. We might end using Unity, but we would like t...

Merry Christmas!!

Hello! Hope you're doing well. Here from Gammes, we wish you a Merry Christmas. Stay with your loved ones and enjoy the holidays! We're almost finishing the year, and it has not been easy, but we will come out stronger than ever. Probably, in a few days, I'll post our future plans for 2026, so stay tuned!! Thanks a lot for your support, and keep playing 🤓.

Re-building our official website from the ground up.

Hello! Hope you're doing well. I've spent the last few days reworking our official website . For the previous version, I used Next  and Material UI , and while I got a nice looking result, it just didn't feel right . So, I decided to rebuild the website from scratch, this time using Nuxt and Tailwind CSS . Working with Vue  feels like home: HTML, CSS and JavaScript (TypeScript in my case), and we keep hosting the site on Vercel . Yeah, a little bit of a technical conversation but I feel so much better working with this stack. Next, I'll rework the Massi vs. José website , which is built on Nuxt already. Looking forward to improve it and learn in the process! Thanks for supporting us, and keep playing!

Some tweaks for our official website!!

Hello! Hope you're doing well. Yesterday, I spent some time improving the interface of our official & main website . I decided to give the spotlight to our latest game, Massi vs. José , and group the other games and apps below. The "Latest News" section will show only the last 5 posts from here, our blog. The Privacy Policy link was moved to the footer of the page, and I removed the "Home" link in our header and added some social links. The "Gammes" logo has the same functionality as the previous "Home" button. Today, I'll work on the other pages, looking for improvements and fixes!

How much did GTA IV and GTA V sell, and what is expected for GTA VI?

Hello! Hope you're doing well. Today, I have a post a bit different from the usual. We're going to talk about GTA numbers! In 2008, GTA IV sold 3.6 million copies on the first day and a total of 6 million copies on the first week. In 2013, GTA V sold 11.2 million copies on the first day and 16 million copies on the first week. That's approximately $1.15 billion on sales 👀. For GTA VI, it's estimated to sell between 12 and 14 million copies on the first week, 85 million copies in 2 months and a first year revenue around $3.2 billion . Do you think GTA VI will break GTA V's record? Comment below!

Hello! Hope you're doing well. We've decided to not being active on Bluesky anymore. We will focus on creating content for X (Twitter), YouTube and Instagram! We also have a Facebook page with regular posts. Thanks a lot for your support!

Mini 2012-2025 Hello! Hope you're doing well. Today is a sad day in the González's family & home. Our beloved cat, Mini, passed away after bringing us a lot of joy and love for 13 years. You will be remembered, always.

We've released our first game made with Godot!

Hello! Hope you're doing well. While my cousin is finishing the last 2 levels for Massi vs. José , I wanted to experiment a bit and learn how to use the Godot engine. I decided to make a simple pong game but including an online mode !! You can go and play it on Newgrounds . Unlock medals and aim for the top spot on the scoreboard! I had a lot of fun working on this game and learned a lot for future implementations of online modes and multiplayer. I hope I can share more news about Massi and our upcoming projects soon!

Over 300 followers on X!

World 3 visual improvements

Hello! Hope you're doing well. While my cousin, Nelson, is finishing his work on World 8 (the final steps for a full release), I decided to improve World 3's performance and visual effects. I managed to show a nice glow effect for the ash particles, using a shader, which allows more performance and better results. The previous approach used a script that attached lights to each particle, which impacts the overall game performance and didn't look as nice. Before After Massi vs. José is currently using only 2 custom shaders: one for the shape transitions (circle, paw and star) and this new one for glowing particles. Since the demo does not include World 3, this new changes will be visible on both mobile versions and the upcoming, rather soon than later, Steam version!

Our latest video got over 10k views!!

<< YouTube won't allow embedding Shorts, so please watch it here . >> Hello! Hope you're doing well. On Monday, I had an idea of a short meme video and came up with this ⬆️. The video has got a total of 12,295 views !! That's a huge milestone for us and we hope to continue creating fun and interesting content across all our social media. Thanks a lot for you support!!

Our goal with mobile games

Massi vs. José is free on mobile!! Hello! Hope you're doing well. We've been working on multiple mobile games since 2019, with the first release of "BallDog!" . We know ads might be some kind of controversial, but for small indie developers like us, it's the only way to get some money out of our projects, keep them alive and fund the development of other games. Our current budget is very limited but we're trying to do our best! We want to provide simple but fun experiences with games like Keep Falling or Amazing Copter , which are perfect for moments when you want to kill some time, while waiting for something or someone. Sliding Puzzle is more suitable for when you want to relax or exercise your mind. Speaking of money, our most profitable game has been Keep Falling , with hundreds of thousands ad impressions and a very decent player base. We've recently released our latest game, Massi vs. José , for free on both the Play Store and the App Store, with t...

With success on sight

Hello! Hope you're doing well. After thinking a lot about Gammes and its social media presence, I decided to create a simple blog using my beloved Blogger .  Back in 2010-2011, I had a blog for videogame reviews and announcements. It was really cool! I really enjoyed my time writing on that blog and sharing my opinions with a small portion of the world. Years have passed and now we're in 2025, who would thought we'd made it this far 🤩. This is a special year because we will release our first commercial game, Massi vs. José  (you can play the demo for free and add it to your wishlist). We've been hard at work to deliver 40 unique levels in the final version of the game. Also, we will continue developing smaller games for mobile, both Android and iOS. Massi will release on mobile and PC, but next bigger games will probably launch only on Steam . Stay tuned for more announcements about current and future projects! We are pretty confident that this will be our year.
